What is the variation between an iPhone and a SciPhone? How Do They Compare?

I often write about the dual sim, iPhone clones.  Recently, I received an email which asked "what are the real differences in the middle of the SciPhone and the iPhone? Which is better?"  I'll try to answer this quiz, in the following article, as well as go over some of the features of the SciPhone.

Dual Sim, A detachable Battery, And Bonus Features:  One of the major differences in the middle of the two phones is that the clone allows for two sim cards.  This means that you can have two phone numbers or two carriers.  It's beloved to use one sim for a cheap talk plan and someone else for data or the Internet.  Prepaid Gsm cards work fine on this phone which can end up rescue a lot of money.  You aren't forced into any long term contract and you can use whatever Gsm carrier that you like or that works for you.

Additionally, the SciPhone has a detachable battery which frees you from being tied to the manufacturer.  The primary phone requires you to have the battery removed and supplanted by the manufacturer.

Finally, the clone has Fm radio and the "shake and tilt" feature which the primary does not.  Shake and tilt means that you can advance Mp3s and songs by just flipping the phone with your wrist.  Likewise, you can take the photograph from portrait to land scape or to wide screen by just tilting the screen.

Now onto what the iPhone has that the clone doesn't.  The clone can hold up to 8Gb of memory.  The Apple can hold up to 16.  Also, you can't go to the apps store with the knock off  However, the Sci does have Java withhold which has literally thousands of free applications and downloads. I'd argue that many things in the apps store are also available via Java.

Similarities: Obviously, there are a lot of similarities in the middle of the two phones as the knock off is modeled after the original.  These phones look very much alike and it is hard to tell the difference when held side by side. They both have the over sized flat screen with the finger touch interface.  Both allow web browsing (and appealing colse to the site using only your fingers, messaging  (Mms, Sms, email), Mp3 / Mp4, digital camera and web cam, and Bluetooth.  You can change data and sync the phones via Usb, Bluetooth, or the Sd cards in the phone.

Cost: Probably the most persuasive things that draw population to the SciPhone is price.  You can often get this phone for colse to or under 0 and you can use whatever cheap carrier that you like, as well as prepaid or pay as you go.  My son uses this phone for commonly under per month, along with Internet, talk and messaging.

So, what's the lowest line? If you're heart is dead set on the iPhone, you're probably going to be satisfied with nothing less.  As good as the clone is, it isn't the primary phone. However, if you want the primary features without the high cost and the commitment, the Sci is a really nice alternative.
